being a mopar man and selling my 02 ram to buy a minivan for the family left me without a truck. well this week i finally picked up another, but a little older lol. 1973 quad cab short box 2wd trucks arent exactly easy to come by, so i lucked out and i can haul the whole family around in her.

right now she's rough, but somebody was nice enough to photoshop my dream of the future. going to start the bodywork soon and hopefully get her bagged next year.

Rob your right, everyone in bonney lake WILL envy me lol.

I like how you left that dent in the front fender in the photoshop.. that's hotness!

lol kidding.. Cool truck though. What all are your plans for it?

nothing major, flat/satin paint(it helps hide all the "hotness" of 26 years of abuse lol), after bodywork to get her straight again. full airbag setup, and some 20"s. minor engine work/exhaust.

simple, effective, cheap, fun.

What's your gas mileage in that hog? My 71' Chevy has been sitting for a year because of the 6-8 mpg. :(

i have no idea, havent drove her more than a couple miles so far. its more of a toy, like my car that i havent driven in close to 3 years. might put an auto in later, right now its a stick.

6-8? barf, reminds me of my 82 chev with a built 396 and 4:10 gears.

I say keep the paint it has now, and the dents.
It's custom faded paint, brah.
:D

Stick all the way. My truck is a three-on-the-tree. ;)

Man I need to change the oil, put some air in the tires, and give it a wash. Then go pick up all the ladies. My 71 has a crate 350 (Edlebrock 4bbl carb) with headers and dual 2 1/2" exhaust with just glasspacks. Technically not legal, but fun.

Are you really going to lower it? Takes the whole point out of it being a truck. Can it tow?

oh yeah. my chev was about 6" off the ground and i'd fill the bed up with firewood, 3 people in the cab, and a tent trailer in tow with all our camping crap on top of it and head up out past greenwater no prob. it's idiots that start removing leafsprings and chopping coilsprings till theres no suspension left that cant use their truck as a truck, plus its alot easier to get crap in and out with it closer to the ground lol. airbags are nice too because you can adjust ride height.

ive owned alot of lowered vehicles and rarely go off of pavement, old habit's die hard.
