Cool, I haven't tried those yet. I'll have to pick up a container the next time I see them.

Omega One Floating Adult Turtle Sticks

Ingredients:
Whole Salmon, Whole Herring, Halibut, Wheat Flour, Wheat Gluten, Lecithin, Astaxanthin, Zeaxanthin, L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Natural and Artificial Colors, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Choline Chloride, Folic Acid, Biotin, Inositol, Tocopherol (Preservative), Ethoxyquin (Preservative).

sweet, now maybe Tetrafauna will go out of business completely with people switching from reptomin.

Won't ever happen, but I can dream!

I'm thinking about getting another hatchling sometime relatively soon and I think I might try the juvie formula of this stuff. I might pick up some of the adult stuff for my current two as well if I see it at the next show I go to...

It has the problem of being a bit to high in protein and with lack of fiber;) I would be happier with it if alfafa and spirulina were in the ingredients. But its perfectly good if you get them used to eat there greens:D My favorites are still however reptomin and zoomed´s because of lack of avaiability of better stuff:)

I agree. A lot of pellets designed to be staple diets are too high in protein and can lead to problems with pyramiding and other things if overfed (which happens a lot with new turtle owners-some turtles beg like no other). My guys have a staple diet of koi pellets that are lower in protein and supplemented with krill, earthworms, turtle pellets, cichlid pellets, occasionally minnows, and greens.

Koi pellets are worse ;) They may be lower in protein but they are also much lower in calcium, high in phosphorus and mostly cereal based. I also use them from time to time but some of my turts dont acept it well in terms of digestion. As a staple you should use a good brand of turtle pellets like zoomeds or mazuri. Reptomin is also good but its better for hachlings, only ofer esporadicly to adults. All the other foods you mencioned are good suplements. Of corse if your turtles are female sliders or specialy cooters, the greens should be much more than a complemet, they are the main corse actualy

They're both male actually, and I also forgot to add they do get supplemental calcium in the form of cuttlebone and also calcium powder inside some of the other supplemental items

I use reptomin, zoomed, mazuri, and aquamax. I mainly use zoomed and reptomin for the hatchlings and juvies. For the subadult and adult turtles just aquamax. I do however feed a lot of live foods. The one good thing about aquamax is that its only about $35 for 50lbs.

I have not seen the omega turtle food around. Might give it a try.
