Hi, I have a 210 with a bunch of juvies, they include:
2x Cuban cichlids
2x emperor cichlid
2x pike cichlid
1 ebjd
1 hoplo cat
Now I know this is very hodgepodge and there would be problems down the line, but everyones happy for now. The problem I'm having is one of the Cuban cichlids, who happens to be the dominant of the 2, tonight started flipping out. He was spinning around and breathing really hard. I came over to check it out and he started acting normal, just breathing hard. He actually ate then. I went and sat down, looked back and he was doing it again, then started acting normal again. Any ideas?
Thanks very much guys

Ha I guess it's hard to distinguish between sarcasm and stupidity over the internet..

Did you do anything prior to the fish doing this? Water change, adding anything, etc..

I didn't do a water change right before. I'll check the water parameters. I really can't see it being a parasite, he has no stringy feces and acts completely normal other than this episode. I work where I bought it and all the ones there act normal. I also don't use store bought feeders. Guess I'll test the water and go from there...

I've seen it before but in sick fish. I've never seen one snap out of it and act completely normal right afterward. Starting to think it may be sone kind of swim bladder problem.
