I recently re-stocked my 6ft 150g tank by doing Ken Davis' $200 box deal, and boy was it worth it! He sent me almost 40 fish (sizes 1-2 inches). Here's what I received:

Here's what I received:
2 Rams (for my 20 gallon tank)
4 Herichthys cyanoguttatus
6 Gold Jacks
6 Amphilophus labiatus F1 Orange and white
6 Cutteri
6 C. Dimerus
4 Grammodes
6 Calico Convicts

Their only tankmate is a 3 inch female salvini, and boy was she pissed when I first added them. She's dealing with it though ;) How boring would a 150 gallon with a single salvini be :screwy: So far the tank is much more entertaining now :D

The fish are all doing great, and I was able to get a few pics to share with everyone. I apologize in advance for my dirty glass and awful photography skills.

cute! Not sure if the rams and dimerus can hang with the rest of them tho.

Thanks :) Lol, the rams are in my planted 20 long tank. The Dimerus are in with the others for now, but I have another tank to transfer them to if things start to get rough. I hadn't heard of the dimerus until Ken sent them to me, but they seem like pretty cool little fish.

They are definitely cool fish.

Parents (your fish are on the leaf ;)):

Wow, they're beauties :) I'm assuming the parents are yours? Thanks for sharing the pics. It gives me a good idea of what they're gonna grow up to look like.

You can't beat $5 a fish delivered to your door. That is a really nice batch of grammodes, I have some of them and they have a lot of red spots for there size. You will have to thin things out a bit as they grow, but with several of each kind you can pic your favorites as they grow and trade or sell the extras.

I'm interested to see what the orange and white labs mature into. Hopefully lots of white!

I now have the dimerus pair as Peter is a fish renter and everything ends up here eventually, he is an excellent breeder and I frequently give him fish I have trouble breeding and he is usually successeful and I get fry out of it. Good arrangement, he has rare fish that he can enjoy and I get fry to sell. JD the parents of the labiatus are about 50-70% white, I have two sybling pairs in a 125 that usually breed about the same time, so the fry you have are from both pairs. They are sparing now so eggs are coming again soon. Ken

Nice mix of fish!

What are you using for substrate? Is that a mix of different construction sands?

Thanks :) Its just regular construction sand (all one kind, not a mix). For some reason, pool filter sand is impossible to find by me and I needed a cheap substrate so this works pretty well. It isn't very heavy, so if it gets kicked up a lot it clouds the water really badly.

That sounds like a good deal to me :) I am excited to see how the labiatus turn out as well.

Yes, I agree, the grammodes are awesome! Yup, I'm prepared to thin things out, but like you said I can pick my favorites and keep them. I can also trade/sell some of the more super dominant fish as well, and hopefully end up with a tank of fish that can coexist somewhat peacefully since they were raised together. However, these large aggressive CA's are new to me (I've generally kept more peaceful SA's), so I'm sure I have a lot to learn along the way ;)
