Hey MFK yesterday i got in my order of 4 lyonsi, 4 rio grijalva salvini, 6 red head geophagus, and a heckelii. I plan on breeding lyonsi and salvini, at what size can i tell the sex of the lyonsi?? Ill put up pictures tomorrow

Looking good, I have Taps from Rapps. They are growing into beautiful fish. I thought that one time I heard Geo's would get stressed if you didn't give them sand to sift through?

Ive seen with lyonsi usually at 5" you will start to see color difference and the spot on the female. Nice heckeli, mines spenda alll day sifting sand so they really really like. My decor is covered in sand because of him, once i even saw my senegal polys head covered in sand realized the heckeli was sifting above him.

I will eventually switch to moon sand but in the mean time they shoukd be fine. No food even hit the bottom.of the tank. They go after it as soon as it hits the water
