I just got my 5" tiger oscar today, I felt bad for at the store he was in a 40 gal with 4 larger oscars so I took him home , I have a 2" gold saum/ green terror that will not leave this oscar alone it has been following and nipping at him for almost 5 hours, they lip locked once and I thought everything would be sorted out after but the GT continues to ram / nibble him, what can I do to stop this?

Take the GT out, do a water change. Leave the GT in a bucket for a couple of hours and let the Oscar settle in. Then put the GT back in. This should help unless the tank is too small. If that is the case then you have a choice to make.

lol they're just gunna have to live with each other because I can't / don't have the heart to give one away.

I hope that you will have the heart not to let your oscar get killed if it comes to that. If your tank is less than 75 gallons then you are in for a problem some day. Good luck.

I know I thought about that I moved the GT to a 10g and am probably giving him away to a friend
I know oscars should be kept in a 75g by themself but hes in a 55 with a senegal bichir who is extremly friendly and they seem to get along fine I will probably upgrade in the future as I plan to keep him for along time :) I just felt to bad for him at the store
and I believe he will have a better life in my tank then if he stayed there.

yup, give it a go!!

I ended up giving my GT to the fish store I hope he'll go to a good home , I also have another question , when people walk near the tank my oscar who I named susie turns to her side and lays at the bottom is that normal?

my oscar keeps swimming on it's side when ever I come near to look at her could she be sick or just playing dead? I thought maybe she had an internal parasite so I started feeding her foods with Garlic in it should I give her any thing else or is there nothing to worry about?

It is quite normal for oscars to sulk and lay on their sides for a few days or even weeks after being purchased. Some are such actors that they do it after water changes. I wouldn't worry too much unless breathing looks irregular, or there are other signs of disease.
