New oscar developing something on his head?

Or was it attacked? Just got back from picking up my girlfriend from work and my oscar has a giant almost cut like contusion on his head. Is this the start of hole in head? A piece of dead skin was attached to it, could it be a bite mark?

it most likely based on the description, was a bite or a scrape...I ge those on some fish when they swim into things when trying to escape an aggressor

Make sure your water quality is good, and it should heal quickly. Add salt or Melafix if it appears to get infected.

Sounds like a bite or scrape. How big is oscar? What are tank mates and their sizes? Have you seen any aggression?

^ This is the best one. I do weekly water changes and basically everything is 0, PH is 6.8.

Yeah its just a scrape. My tiger oscar had the same thing when he got too excited and smacked his head on the hob filter. He always gets excited when i get home cuz he knows its supper time. I actually had to put the cover back on a couple times cuz he would knock it off.
