new oscar i picked up

So i walked into my lfs the other day and i saw this oscar. I couldnt pass up on him cuz of the contrasting brown on him even though his fins were pretty badly damaged. So after awhile i decided to pick him up:) What do u guys think? Is the brown on him pretty normal for oscars?

Wow, very nice! I love the coloring and the "O". Nice find :) Don't worry about the fins...now that he's in your care, he's going to be OK.

Nice Rescue!!! I've seen subtle browns, but usually in older oscars..

ino what u mean but its not....its just the skin got ripped off...it has grown back already so its all good:D
 
I think its pretty normal (the brown). I have a 6" O I got from petsmart at 2", he can make it really stand out or turn it completely black right? My O's orange is darker though, I would like to have an O like yours with the lighter orange too, very pretty, plus that "O" on the tail is nice and pronounced.
