Hi im gene, i kinda new to fish but last year i got two oscars and put them in my friends koi pond and they did great had them trained to go to the edge of the pond when i feed them not to hard to do lol. but as winter hit the fish slowed down and those pesky raccoons ate them.:swear: so this year in april i wana say i got a 15 gal tank and started the cycle and bought 2 tigers and one red oscar. i also had a fiddler crab in the tank with them. i thought the oscars were too small to mess with the crab but they killed him. After they didnt have the crab to pick on the two tigers started picking on the red so i put him in the koi pond. (which he disappeared from) after a while i got my 55gal tank and put the oscars in there. one got sick and died now i have one so i named him pete after the character from shawn of the dead. I also have two cory cats about 1.5- 2 in long and a 4 in pleco and my oscar is 4-5 in. Hopefully this week im getting a 125 gal fo the spotted or Florida gar. im getting but i hope its a spotted.

umm so what tank size an fish you workin with now?

Hmmm if I read you right put the oscar in the 125 How many fish do you have and where?

the gar is going in the 125 the oscar will be staying in the 55 i only have four fish right now lol 2 corys 1 pleco and 1 oscar

I'm surprised your Oscar has not eaten your Corys yet. Also, you should probably get 3-4 more Corys. They like to be in schools.
You really should move your Oscar and Pleco (if common) into the 125 with the Gar.

well the oscar isnt big enough to mess with the corys yet and the corys just swim together i might put the oscar in with the gar but im not sure yet. should get my gar tonight and the tank tomrow they should be ok friends for a week till i get the 125 rdy

Put the Oscar in the 125. It'll really appreciate the space and their personality really blossoms with more room. You won't regret it. Make the 55 a nice community with an African Brown Knife as the centerpiece. It seems to be a fish you'll like.
