Hello all..just wanted to show you my new oscar..he/she is about 7" sorry about the bad pic..taken with iphone.

My question is i just got a free 55g with a 20g wet/dry..the wet/dry has bio balls and a filter pad..i was wondering what would be a good, reasonably priced, canister filter to back up the sump?

Fluval 205

Rena xp2

Eheim 2217 / ecco 2234

All of them would be run with the wet/dry..and if you know of something different let me know.

thanks to all who help :)

think you may need a bigger tank soon. a 75 should work fine. a 55 is just to small for an oscar. but and eheim 2260 ( 300 or so buxs here ) would work great with the wet/dry.

Most O's get bigger then 12 inch's so a 55 would be a tight fit. I would look for a bigger tank. They grow at about an inch a month so a 55 would need replaced soon. And no room for any other fish in a 55.
He is a lovely O.

Really nice oscar. I would add a canister, they are very messy fish.
