New Oscar tank stocking compatibility.

Hi, I hate to be another one of "those" posts but I am thinking about setting up a new Oscar tank soon when our fishroom is done. We are experienced fish keepers but not with Cichlids / monster fish (unless you count my huge Goldie's).

The tank will be a 125g and the types of fish we would like to have are Oscar, bichir, and a medium sized pleco like a sunshine/sunspot. I'm having trouble finding definite compatibility information with this combination. Would you guys mind giving us some advice on campatibility and numbers of fish per that would be comfortable?

1-2 Oscars with 1-3 bichirs of the smaller variety (palmas, Senegal, delhezi, etc) and a pleco of your choosing would be a fine stock. Make sure the bichirs are big enough not to be eaten by the Oscars, as the Oscars will grow quicker if you get them all at a small size.

Awesome thank you, that would be perfect I don't have any of the fish now so I'll get the bichir and let them grow into the tank a bit first then

1 oscar, a couple smaller growing bichir, and a pleco. You would have a nicely stocked and relatively peaceful tank.
