Just picked up two oscars off craigslist for $20 for both of them. They are 8-9 inches. Just awesome. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Lol. They are going into my 125g. They guy I bought them from had both in an under-filtered 55g. Hopefully they will get along with my other fish.

Nice score! Since they are coming from less than ideal conditions, I would definitely quarantine them before introducing them to your main tank. It's good practice to do that with all new fish actually. I'll look out for your pictures too.

what kind of fish were in your tank to begin with?

I got a clown knife about 13" and a fire eel around the same size. I got two plecos about 6" and 9" and then one small datnoid around 3". I'm a little worried for him but I got plenty of hiding places for him.

You are right. Unfortunately I have no other tank to put them in. I'm hoping for the best. So far so good. I will monitor them closely these next weeks.

Well good pick up for the o's sake. So many people own oscars in terrible conditions seriously a unfiltered tank that probaully never even gets water changes people suck. I swear u should have to get a licence to own fish. Well they have a good home now nice save. I dont see any hole in the head syndrom, or hith very surprising for them being in a terribly maintained tank. Good score i love o's
