New Oscars - Old Tank

The first two pics are from before a tank catastrophe that struck while my wife and I were on vacation. The guy house sitting accidentally turned off the power strip for the canister and FB filters... And never noticed.
The Peacocks and my 8 year old Pleco, Hoover (RIP), didn't survive.

So after months of recycling the tank and getting everything but the algae back to 0.0 ppm (nitrite < 20 ppm)

My wife and I picked up a Pleco and two Oscars, a red and a tiger, from the LFS today.

So, Meet Dyson (pleco), Zeus (Red-O), and Apollo (Tiger-O)!

congradulations on the new baby and tank looks really nice... sit back and watch them grow... ......sorry about your loss...but your going to have fun with these Oscars ..they have alot of personality..

Until 2 years ago I had 2 Oscars, both about 14" and both jumped out of the tank the same night. Hans and Frans were dead on the floor in the morning. They really were cool fish. They would swim up against my hand if I put it in the tank and stay with it until I pulled it out. Who says you can't pet a fish?

I have a MUCH heavier lid now.
