Hi, new here, and new owner of a monster sized fish. well quite a few acctually.

One of my hubby's co-workers has to move to the other side of the country and couldn't take his fish with him, so we are the lucky owners of a beautiful Gold Severum

Looks like he's full grown. Also there's a tiger loach, (full grown) and a pleco that's about 8" long as well, as well as a mystery fish:

If anyone knows what this is, please let me know. It's current size is about 2 or 3 inches long, and buddy just got it before he gave us the tank.

Gonna DEFINITELY be upgrading the tank. Those poor creatures are currently stuck in a 15-20 gallon tank. I have *no* idea how he managed to get them to those sizes in that size tank..but I'm gonna definitely upgrade their current surroundings. Poor Severum (My daughter named him dorothy) hardly has room to swim...not to mention the bioload...

So here I am.

I also have a 20 gallon with two dwarf puffers, a 32 gallon with a whole slew of tetras, and a 5 gallon with a beta splendens....

That aint no aro. Im thinkin that its some type of kilifish or a livebearer carachin...

looks like it could be a golden wonder killifish

Yeah I'm leaning towards kilifish as well. a female anyway..since the finning isn't as full nor is the coloring as bright as the pictures of males that I have seen.

Yeah the Sev is a male as well. Probably gonna hop into the local Petland (Unfortunately it's the only option...other than Walmart...around here) to see what they have for 55+ gallons for my poor confined giants.

mystery fish is not an arowana..lol..also arowanas arent rare in north america they are easily attainable..and Wow..you have a petland in canada..theres only one in NY..and it is pretty over priced =D

the mystery fish would be a arowana.. I'm suprised the guy who you got it from didn't tell you anything about it unless he didn't know. They're pretty rare here in North America You might as well give it away now unless you plan on getting a 200+ gallon tank for it. On average they get 3-4' feet long, no lies! Don't just give it to anybody either, find it a good home with a huge tank. I suggest trying to sell it to somebody on here who knows what they're doing. You need to get it out of that tank asap.
