Nice looking Buttis. A very interesting fish, I kept one years back which had to be kept alone as it killed or maimed anything I tried to put in with it. Also used to bite me as hard as it could during water changes, that was fun.

Right now a 20g. As they get bigger I’ll put them into a 180g.

Yes I’ve done my research. I’m prepared for a single fish in the tank.

Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one that received aggression to the hand from these guys.

Bought (10) 1/2" fry about a year ago...... I am now down to (1) and he is about 6-7". He killed half of them and then I lost a few to an electrical short. So then I was down to a pair! So I thought great! All good!! Well, that relationship lasted for about a month. And then I came home to her dead. So it is just him. And he is still not at the aggression level I was expecting. They don't hit their FULL potential until like 8-9" from my understanding.
