New payara! ID please

I got this little guy in today. At first glance I want to say its a scomb, but I can't be sure. I suspect it might be a very skinny tat also.

My reasons for this are as follows: 1- this fish swims perfectly level. My scomb, like all others, always swims with his head down.

2- The color. All scombs I've seen have been greenish silver with brownish fins. This fish is silver with a hint of gold with clear fins.

3- eye size. This fish is a bit smaller than my scomb, but has larger eyes.

4- Tail. This fish has a normal tail fir a tat or armatus with the center point. I've never seen a tail like this on a scomb, theyve always been rounded.

5- Anal fin. Same story as the caudal fin. Has a hook in the front like tats or armatus.

Normally I feel confident in my payara IDs, but this guy has me stumped. I need impartial opinions! Im clouded by desire! lol

Also, unlike the scombs I've seen, he doesn't have an underbite. His bottom jaw is even with the tip of the upper jaw.

Sweet! That's what I was hoping! He was so darn thin I couldn't really tell. He ate two feeder goldfish yesterday. My scomb is a good teacher. He spent all day hiding yesterday, but now he's shoaling with the GATF, scomb and PTC.

Nice pickup tho for sure, love tats I have a large one in with my ATF shoal teaching the baby Armatus to hunt, exciting stuff!
