new payara!! id?

Hello everybody I'm happy to say I'm back into fish keeping again. I bought this payara today my first fish in 1 year he's about six seven inches paid 69.99 he's in a 100 gallon bowfront for now. I've owned a scomb payara before he died at 10 inches and he was by far my favorite of all the fish I've owned. So here's some pics taken on my HTC Android so let me know how they turned out and maybe help me i.d this payara!!! Thanks

I hope he is a red tail is there any tank mates anyone could suggests
 
I've always wanted to keep hydrolocus, but I have heard they need X-large aquariums. I saw your last thread, thought what you wanted to buy was going to end up a scomb, but this is definitely worth the price. Nice Pick up! :)
 
I want to say Hydrolycus Tatuia, but I can't be too sure. Someone here will hopefully chime in and give you a definitive I.D

i housed one before with a short-body, yellow tail, and a hujeta gar, frontosa, and ebjd. i never had any problems either. they do extremely well with other barracudas especially any kind of sabertooths.
 
Really?....you're answering a question from two years ago,how did you even come across this thread?
