New Pbass and a couple questions.

Hi there
Finally got my 3 pbass yesterday and to my surprise they ate aro sticks and MP no problem.
my question is can one overfeed pbass or will they just stop eating when they are full?? cause they were eating the mp like pig and I stop for fear they might die due to over feeding.
also what's the growth rate for a 3 inch one on average every month??

Mine grew like 4-5 inches in 3 months. Crazy. Lucky yours will eat non-live.

Cant wait for mine to get big.
I'm guessing mine ate the MP and pellets because they were probably starving at the LFS.

Nice looking babies! Up them temp to around 84-86, make frequent water changes up to 50%, feed them as much as you can, they will not overfeed like the chinese perch. They will grow to a quick size depending on the tank space they have. My 3 incher grew to 8" in three months at those parameters when I had them in my 330. Good night and good luck... always wanted to say that. That movie was not very exciting...

From what I can tell, they eat like absolute pigs until they are about a foot long, and then they kind of slow down. Kind of. They grow about an inch a month until about a foot long, too. They will slow down, but the bigger the tank, the faster they grow.

right bro..I have two in a 240..I know one is a male, about "16 inches" or more, and it also has the hump. the other is about "14 inches", and not sure if it is a male or female. My bud gave them to me. Eacht ime I pass by the tnak, it's like "gimmi food, gimmi food", showing me that big mouth...they eat ALL the time....ALL the time. Not sure how big their bellies can get when they get to like 16"!.


hmm i guess i have to take new pictures...GRRR!
