Well i used to have a Jardini arowana, but sadly i went on vacation for a month and had my buddy feed it for me, and he overfed him and he died, he was 14" when he died. So now i have moved onto Pbass. i also have an oscar but am not to sure how the fish will get along, i was jus seeing if u guys had any tips for a new Pbass owner, and if they go good with oscars, i am also planning on getting another Jardini or Silver, I am prty sure that they should get along since they are both passive-aggresive, Hopefully someone will have some tips for me.

new pbass should be kept at a temp of at least 87 degrees, they go fine with both oscars and silvers depending on size of each indvidual fish and tank size ofcourse.. Not to sure how they would go with jardinis though, I've heard that some jars can get pretty agro with their tankmates..

lol 87+ is a good water temp, you need excellent water quality and a large tank.. there is tons of knowledge and info here as well as a bunch of threads exactly the same.. when you get a change scroll through some of the pages and try doing some searches

87F, really i thought that sounded a little warm.he is only a Juvinile, about 4-5 inches, also is the oscar comfortable in that warm of water. Oh ya i also have a Basic Pleco and Chocolate Pleco, can they manage that warm of water also?

ive kept all those fish with my pbass at 87 degrees.. you wont have any issues. just keep the tank aeration high.

what everyone else said but most important tip...don't let your same friend take care of you pbass!!!:D;)

pbass love warm water!
keep it at 87 plus.
have some salt in the tank as well.
NO to the jar.
as for the oscar and silver, should be fine as long as the oscar is not overly aggressive.
keep it on feeders until 6 inches plus and then get it off live.
or you can do it now although it'd be a bit tougher.
but much better IME.

you have a better chance of keeping a juvi alive in warmer water. watch out for those plecos ..

ehh on the salt hahah channarox ;) try to keep your cichla on feeders until 6 inches, if you cichla will take prep foods without having to starve them .. then go for it but if you have to starve them under 6 inches.. this is a bad idea
