I've had one for a few months now and he is GREAT! ....and BIG. :grinno:
He eats spiralina flake, blood worms & krill and has a Great personality! What else would you like to know? He is in a 150 with 3 severums, 1 H. temporalis, 1-Geo. 'Bahia Red', & 1-Synodontis nigromaculatis

That's a really pretty fish, but I haven't even heard of them before.

Thanks! They have gone through a series of name changes, they were Cichlasoma pearsei, the ex-Cichlasoma pearsei, then Herichthys pearsei. :nilly: Here's a link to check out their profiles: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/category.php?cat=20 They are THICK, but you may want to take the 17" dimension with a grain of salt. Humans can reach 7'+ also, but I'm only 5'8" and shrinking.
