hey,
i was thinking into buing a new pet but i just cant seem to know wich kind
i wanted something exotic it dosent metter what .....
but it is also in a budget of 500 buck or less...
post up what you guys like and ill try to coose
THANK YOU!!!:) :) :) :) :)

what kinda room do you have?

$500 is a nice budget for a new pet. Cruise Kingsnake.com's classifieds - $500 will buy just about everything with exceptions.

Snake?
Lizard?
Amphibian(s) ?

FISH!!!!!???!!!!!!

another thing to consider is how much time do you have? some pets require so much more time than others.

exmaple - pacman frog vs snake vs turtle etc....

Also is the $500 budget just for the animal or is that the budget for a complete set-up including animal??

well i got a 55 gal tank im not using *with a stand* aaand
i got plenty of room and time
from morning till night time *except on school days*

Gr8 has a good point...

Also, some pets require a lot of .. let's just say, equipment and care. For example, simply put, a snake or lizard (most) need careful temp monitoring, frequent cleaning, etc... not to mention lizards needing a lot of work on their diets. Turtles are extremely messy.

On the other hand, as Gr8 says, a frog is... well again, it depends on the type of frog - but generally speaking, much less maintenance and higher range of temp. tolerance (mostly)

We'll need more info from you...

Excluding school days, you do NOT have much time, be honest with yourself.
And a 55 gallon tank is NOT much room.

At this point you would probably want to think about getting a couple of smaller amphibians (or 1-2 larger ones) or 1-3 small lizard species.
Or maybe 1 corn snake.

With the 55, you'll need to think small, and being in school daily, you need something that won't need much "one on one" time. (ie: a frog)
