New pet Patriot Crab 12/28/2010

Still shy but hoping to get it to start taking foods from my hand soon.

Looking good! I always get confused about something...sometimes I see Crabs like this labeled as African or Thai. Are they similar coloration between 2 species or just mislabeling?

Sometime they are listed as African rainbow crabs. Guessing Thai crab is most likely be a different specie.

I believe some of the common names for these guys Rainbow Crab, Patriot Crab, moon crab, and Soapdish Crab.

I always have a thing for oddball pets. Only thing I would never keep would be snakes.

Petsupermarket has the vampire crab. I love the detailed colors on the crab.

noa ctally it is the same crab and the soap dish crabs and other ones u named are completly diffrent. he man sick crab i had a coupld of those then he started to molyt and my other crabs ate him =( sorry to post on yout thing but can some one help me figure out how i put a post on like this man did for his crab?
