New petsmart flower horn in growout

Today I puchesed a 2 inch flowerhorn from petsmart. It looks really good and I hope that it will become a masterpeice. What do I feed it for better coloration and bigger kok? Thanks.

I think Hikari bio gold and gold, NLS, JBL. Grand Sumo isnt really the best and is just all hype it depends on the generics of your fish.

I have some NLS small fish formula that I am feeding to my clownfish so I will be using that for my FH too.

Also... what gravel colors make them look good and wich ones make the look bad? Sorry for all the questions but I am new with FHs.

What do you mean...

Think of it like this say a red dragon and another red dragon breed and have no kok(hump), bad fins,and droopy tail the offsprings would most likely inherit those traits or genes from them. Like big kok male and a kok on a female with nice fins, tails, and color then most of the frys should end up nice like the parents

Depends on the fish like for my Thai silk I use dark background. I would either go with a natural looking gravel or sand .

Good because i have tan gravel. It is a growout though so hopefully I get a nice color for the tank he will be going into.
