my grampa just walked in from running arrends and i guess he went to pick up a new Battery for my old phone which isnt holding a charge anymore and they hooked him up with the Casio Gz One type-S.
thing is sweet! water, shock and dust resisitant. camera with flash and its a flip phone, unlike my ancient one i used to carry around. so im pretty stoked!
Yeah, I have one and I like it, but the camera is pretty much useless, and the speakerphone is way too quiet (I've had it on accidentally while holding it to my ear and didn't even notice for awhile). It does have bluetooth though.
I killed my last phone dropping it into a bucket of saltwater, so I bought this one, but I think I may just make it a backup since I like a more feature loaded phone. If you just want a simple and durable phone they're great though.
that phone is GREAT (with the exception of the speaker phone being too quiet, the lack of ringtones you can hear, the lack of mac compatibility, the crappy "themes" which make the screen impossiable to read in the sun and the crappy camera)
hmm.. that made it sound crappy... but its not.. ive had one for a bit over a month (work phone).. as long as you dont push the buttons its great under water.. i wanted to test it so i took it in the pool.. it worked great underwater and still works great..
its amazingly well built.. the day after i got it i droped it down a flight of stairs.. NOTHING was wrong with it.. nothing poped apart and nothing cracked.. i was all sorts of shocked cuz it didnt even drop the call...
if you guys want good camera phones get the sony ericsson K810(3.2 mp xenon flash) or the K850(5.0 mp xenon flash)... another good camera phone is the N95(5mp led flash) i own all 3 and i like the K810 the best cause of the size and the flash but i switch between all of them... i know they are a little expensive but they are well worth it cause i sold my Ipod and my digital camera cause i always have a camera and an mp3 player with me everywhere i go... speaker phone on all of them is great as well.... the new phone that is comming out is suppose to have optical zoom but led flash
I've dropped several phones in water and they still worked after they dried out. The only reason my last one died is it was saltwater, so my phone wasn't gonna make it through that.
The type S doesn't have a megapixel camera, it's 640x480, which is the main reason it takes such horrible pictures.
