Friend of mine does a European Mount on skulls...meaning he remove skin and flesh leaving only bone. It's really very cool. I don't know all of the steps, but the one I was most interested in was the bugs. He has fish tanks full of the flesh eating beetle, D. maculatus.

I got some interesting close ups of them having lunch.

A friend of the family is a taxidermist and I'm always glued to these beetles. Crazy to watch them work.
 
Man I've always wanted these guys, but my parents probably wouldn't approve of leaving flesh lying around.
 
I need these guys for my fish when ever they die!
 
Looks like that skull has already been whitened. Did he pop it back in there for you to take pics?
