How big is he?? Mine is fairly active... he is about 3-4". He got beat up very bad the first day by my Trimac, but has since recovered fully and is eating night crawlers and massivore like it's going out of style. He also eats NLS and Hikari pellets. Seems to have grown close to an inch in the 2 1/2 weeks I've had him, lol!!!
About 8 or 9 inches. The whiskers are getting bit by my bichirs. This may not be working out.

My cichlids do the same thing to my Vulture catfish.... I hate it. The Achara is in with a 2.5-3" Festae, who does not bother it at all so his are nice n long. He has grown at least an inch and is way thicker than when I got him... I hope to introduce him to the rest of the tank in a few months...
I put the achara in the sump for now and added salt.
