Opinions on treatment of new pickup. I moved the pair I have out of the tank and purchased a new J/K. It arrived today and looks terrible!!! Pic speaks for iself! Opinions please!!!

looks like he came from a tank with an ammonia problem. Clean water should fix him right up as long as he acclimated him good. Post a picture of the whole fish.

I think your fish has an internal problems called hexamita and external called hole in the head. Try to treat your fish using metrodinazole + ciprofloxaxin + acrifilavine + heater 30 celcius + no lights + no food during treatment + no filter media like carbon, bio ring or zeolite + treat your fish for 7 days. Hopefully this will help brother and GBU

Thanks for the info. I treated the tank with furazone, raised the salt level and temperature right away. Within an hour he had basically sneezed the stuff out of his nostrils. The stuff kinda looked like asbestos or fiberglass. His nostrils are still really red and look really sore. I will post some new pics tomorrow.
