I just moved and redid my main tank, picked up 4 pluero`s :)
2 are eating pellets, the 2 others will look at them but not hit them. Hoping they will at some point, as it makes it a bit easier feeding a varied diet.

Full tank shot, in QT and when i brought em home

nice fish. co cute when it still juve..

nice one mate, there great fish to own, my female eat's pellet's but the male snub's them only eating chopped prawn, so far hopefully that will change

niiiiice

Thanks all, they are great fish for sure...

How often are you feeding shrimp to your male nelly ? I´m feeding chopped up shrimp every 3 days or so, hoping he will take the pellets inbetween... no luck yet.
I think i have 2 females and 2 males, and its the females who eat the pellets right now( very plump body compared to the other 2).

Anyone know if i could house a bottomfeeder with the pluero`s ? I`m thinking maybe a bichir or an armored catfish ?

my pleuro are in with a community fish envoiroment, pictus/hoplo/gibbicep/senegal bichir to name a few, yes around every three day's......yes the female's are much plumper looking where as male's are long skinny and slender

birchirs are the fish of choice for a channa tank , for some reason they just seam to get on well , and if the worse was to happen not spiney dorsals to get stuck in the channa mouth. pleuros are quite good though and get on with most things

cheers col
