i have about 10 or so in my tank.. they're great to have because they eat up all the tiny excess food thats left over. Just have to watch out for the fish that might eat them.

You might want to put a powerhead sponge over the intake.

Technically no.. I have mine in a 20 gallon breeder tank with an internal filter and no problems yet.

They shouldnt get sucked up.. depending on the size of your intake. You can always buy more cause they're so cheap
