So today i went to the local fish store after getting rid of my pike, and while there my friend and i met a guy looking to sell some fish. I was trying to find something to go with my wolf fish but am still stuck on if i wanna keep him or not. Sio the guy was looking to sell a 6 inch red terror, a pike cichlid, a few GT'S, and a big black belt cichlids. So I bought the red terror and pike cichlid for just $20. The guy was also interested in a trade for either my wolf or the clown knife for his black belt cichlid. Do you think it would be a good trade or now. I thought long and hard about the direction i want to go with my fish and when i walk into my room all you see in water and some decor but no fish and i think I wanna go back to seeing fish swimming around. Do you thin the black belt trade for either of my fish would be a good trade or no?

I remember that you got rid of your last big Pike because of aggression issues. Well you may be going back to that with this stock. If your red terror is a Festae, just know that they can be pretty aggressive. But with plenty of space and proper tankmates they can be housed with others. Black Belts can also be aggressive too. If you have a large tank I think that it could work. Just provide cover for the most timid fish. Add a school of large barbs or danios for more movement. Good luck.

well it was just a thought. Right now all the fish seem to be doing fine even the wolf and the pike i got is just a belly crawler not a columbian that almost killed my wolf. But does it seem like a good trade? When bigger all fish will be moved to a 150 long

But what size is your tank now?

and yes its just a growout tank

I would advise setting up the 150 now, and putting them in it.

75 gallons is not much room for several territorial fish.

I have and like black belts. But I do not think that would be a good trade since you can get black belts from anywhere.

well if he wanted the wolf fish i was going to ask for the blackbelt and $10-$15. Not sure if im going to do it or not

A trade is good if you get something that you want. It's your opinion that matters. Everyone here has their own preferences so you will get different opinions on if your trade is good or not. Create a stock that is healthy and works well together and that also pleases you. And I agree with the other post, set up your 150 as soon as you can. A 6" Festae with other mid-sized fish will need room or this attempt will fail. A 75 will not work for long.
