so i went and hit up tokyo aquarium on west adams blvd in los angeles and picked up this sexy BEAST
his coloration was better in the store, hes a bit skittish in his new tank

the place i bought him from was great and the guy was really knowledgable the only thing that turned me back a bit was when he said a tt eel would be fine in a 10 gallon
i really liked the place so i had to... :footinmou

yea but there are a lot run by japanese guys its the one on the corner of adams and something its 4600 adams

I believe the asian people who own Tokyo Aquarium are Korean, well they spoke Korean to me the first time I was ever in the shop. If you want fish advice from them talk to the wife. It's a nice store with decent prices and they do get oddballs from time to time. So what did you end up getting?
 
I love that store they always have a few rarer plecos, and they have couple of oddball gems in the back such as the Aba Aba knife, the Tigrinus (spelling?) and a bunch of nice flowerhorns, african arrowanas and stuff.
 
yeah i got a GT who i finally got to eat some cichlid gold today

i saw the aba aba knife it was really cool, they also had tsn, rtc from 1"-12", red hook sd's, an incredibly gorgeous geophagus jurupari, a tt eel, like 10 incredibly patterned fire eels together with their heads sticking out from under a big rock they shared, tons of gts, o's, firemouths, green texas, etc. they also had leopard ctenopomas for 4.99!, but they were <1"
