New Pickup, Geo Balzani

Promised myself not to get new fish until i get another tank but i saw this Adult Sized
Balzani with a Hump! Ive waited for a while to get a full grown bad boy like this . Here are some pics.

Great looking Gymno balzani. Make sure to keep the temp down in that tank - these guys do much better if the temp never exceeds 75 degrees. Best to keep the tank unheated and allow winter temps to dip as low as the mid 60's even.

They dont do well on high 70s??

Gymnogeophagus like the balzani come from Argentina (or Uruguay), and live in cooler waters. True they CAN live in warmer waters, but if you want to give the fish more comfortable or "ideal" conditions, leave the tank unheated.

Nice lookin fish,How big will that hump get?does it get bigger when hes excited.....he he he J/K.I dont recall ever seeing one of those before,Where are they native too and how bib do they get.

If i can manage to find a spare tank i might move it, otherwise hell have to
stay in summer weather conditions. lol.
