just got this guy and is only MAYBE 4 inches max

I thought it was showing some nice color for its size so I grabbed it

think the body color will improve?

Im not sure if its male or female

closer to 3 inches not 4

small but was in with 2 others and was hiding... the others were much bigger
this one seemed to me to have the best potential though

Maybe with a better picture we can help sex him/her for you. As for the coloration, keep up with water changes and a varying diet and it should brighten up for you. Mine has!

Body color will improve over time. He is most likely stressed out. give awhile. Stay ontop of water changes, and feed good diet. good luck.

Looking good! I almost got 2 for a special @ PetSmart. I opted to go with a JD instead. I have never owned a GT, what can you tell me about it? I am afraid my Red Devil will kill it.

Nice i got mine around the same size he's now a 5an half inch and showing a lot of personality, great choice of fish.
