New pickup, washed out or platinum senegal?

Hi Guys,

Just picked up this awesome lil senegal last week, it's extremely pale could it be a platinum or is it just really washed out?**fingers cross**

Either way he looks cool and is eating like a champ

just looks washed out, if it was platinum it would be pure white. put him in a tank with a dark substrate or background and if he gets darker, not a platinum

It was in a tank with black soil last week and was the same, i'm going to bulk him up some more before it goes in with the big boys.

looks washed out, a senegal's a senegal though, looks like an awesome specimen

It's a washed out sen, but it could darken a bit under the right conditions, but in barebottom tank, that might not happen.

You can tell by looking at the cheeks. If you can see a white stripe, that means it's a washed out sen.

A true platinum is metallic white.

Looks to be washed out to me, but it's a cool looking sen nonetheless.
