i cant express how much sunlight does for them,they thrive on getting a bask several times a week for at least an hour.never ever let them stay in full sun without shade to retreat.those soft screen cages are perfect for it.sorry to stray,congrats on the hook up,i used to breed them and always will love those guys.man did mine get that big in a year?i sold the babies so fast so other than my few males and the origional females i got already at 2 years i guess i never grew any out from hatch.does it wave its arms or bob its head at you?
