i was at my lfs today and noticed they 4 baby longnose gars. he is only about an inch long. im growing him out in a 10 gallon for now. hopefuly he will grow to a monster like the one under him.

no they are not in the same tank. i held the bag he was in up to the big tank so everyone could see the size difference. like i said hes gona be in a 10g for a while. my bigger fish are in a 75g.
LOL didnt see, my bad.they had 4 of them i got one. im gonna go back this weekend and get the other 3 so i can make sure they have good home. and they can keep eachother company. and yes i realize im gonna have to have a huge tank to house 5 longnose gars.

im pretty sure it is a longnose cuz it has the coloration of all the other longnoses i have seen. but i havent seen a baby florida/spotted. im not trying to say that your wrong. im just saying what i think.
All Lepisosteus look like this (In colour) when around 2 inches.. Longnosed however have much longer noses even at that size...
