i finnaly got fish in my new 30. got them as "assorted african cichlids" at petco for 7 dollars each. can you tell me what they are and if i paid a good price for em'?

That's not a bad price for them. They definatly a Aulonocara peacock, maybe Aulonocara rubescens/Ruby Red. Is that blue on its body or is it just dark?

its whole body is blue. both of them are dark blue with lighter blue stripes and they have orange fins with yellow egg spots.

They are peacocks, but unknown which type from the pictures. Will need some more shots to give that information. The price is not that bad for them

i picked up two. they were in a tank with some yellow labs so i snatched em up.

thoser are really nice pick ups, you lucked out rarely do i see nice fish the assorted african tanks. clear body shots would be best, for now peacock for sure.
