I got a trio of Crays, put them in the bass tank. They are monsterous, they were eating our stock. Also got Leopard Ctenopoma, never seen them before. Look like spotted Dats, but the don't get nearly as big. I will try housing them with the little Dats for now.

Nice LEaffish! i have a LFS selling them around me now... theres 5 in the tank, and i think im getting 1 or 2.. do they do better in groups??

I was going to add one or 2 to my baby dat tank too.. and before i can ask questions about that, i see your post.

So tell me whats a good price for them? They are about 1.5 inches and are selling for under 10$. WAT U THINK?

That's a good price, go for it.

Cool, they are eating mysis... Anything better for them? Like bloodworms..

And are they better in groups??

Ill get a few perhaps..only 9$ each

basically good to vary the diet. they dont swim much especially if in a planted tank. they are ambushers but not as fast as dats. mine eats almost everything. only thing it hasnt eaten is clams and floating pellets. Under 10 is good. they can tolerate others but some have said they can also turn on em.

thought about buying some more, petsmart had em in and cheap too.

Im sticking to my LFS, thank you for the information though. Leaffish Kick ***.

I have a Ctenapoma. I LOVE HIM> So cute. Growing now.

They do ok in groups. But its when you add them to a tank with an established Fish, they will often get aggressive to the newcomers.
Best to add them all at once.

They get about 5-6" long and need meaty foods since they are predatory. Mine still loves his flakes.
But i feed him a small piece of frozen krill a few times a week. They love worms too.

I hope they love worms, that's what I feed the dats mostly.

ctenopoma are awesome!
i have one in with my senegal and he is the shizznit! a lightly to medium planted tank with them spread out in strata (ground, short, medium, tall and floating) and they'll be all over the place.
they get like 6-7" and actually aren't leaf fish they are anabantoids, like bettas.
