how big do they get?

i was actually thinking heckelii.
but i dont know geos for....

The number one thing that is getting to me is I used to really decent with them. I have had the two types and few more. And for the life of me can't remember which is which. Could tell you what tank I kept them in, but the name I am at a loss. LOl

They are Acarichthys heckelii. Not good tankmates for C. temensis as they are SUPER slow growers. Fine for now, but will be food in 6-8 months.

6-8 mths is totally fine for me.
i was actually thinking that.
are they considered earth eaters as well?

Those are threadifn acara i bought 6 around 6 months ago at 1.52 i now have 3 (i sold 3) at a good 6" great fish very beautiful.

They can reach 10" but id say 82 is a good size for a male.

One does seem to have bad HITH though.

Threadfins are closely related to eatheaters, but are not. I had a few a couple years ago. Took over a year to reach full size, ~9". Beautiful fish!
