Headed to the LFS for some crickets and feeders, and they had a "Marbled Gar" aka Boulengerella maculata. Its a very nice species of Characin in my opinion.:D
The second was an accident. I went fishing, seems how it was a nice day and I knew there wouldn't be very many for awhile seems how winter is approaching, and after 30 min. I caught what looks like a species of Shiner, but I'll have to get a positive ID on him.:)
Pics. (And if you look closely, you will see the one-eyed Goldfish:ROFL: The other Goldfish got hungry one day when he was smaller....)

The "Gar" can get to 12" and the Shiner 12", but normally only gets to 8".

Very nice fish, although that seems to be Boulengerella lateristriga
Just a little different pattern to it.

I never go to the fish store for pellets or supplies unless I have to. I hate coming home with impulsive buys that I feel guilty for excessive spending.:D Nice pickup by the way but don't make it a habit cuz it will get expensive.
