Today I stopped at Petco, and saw that they were selling Turquoise Jewel Cichlids. They looked amazing, and I've never seen them for sale around here, other than ordering online, so I thought I'd take my chances at buying a pair. Not sure on sexing Jewel Cichlids, but based on the coloration and fins, I think I've got a pair. The male is the larger one.
Beautiful Cichlids, IMO, really hope that I can get them to spawn. :popcorn:

Looking good! I used to have some Jewels. Great color, but too aggressive for my tank at the time.

i used to have a tank only for these guys, had almost 22 of them in one tank, when i gave them away, there were like almost 4-5" big

Did they get more color with age?

These are great looking fish; if I wasnt worried that theyd kill the fish i have now, id have a couple.
