Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Since the tragic events with the RD, I decided to wait on a flowerhorn for now. So I drove an hour or so up to Portland to visit a couple stores there.

First stop was Pets on Broadway, there I got:
* 1 Vieja Maculicauda "Black Belt" 4" $12
* 4 Hericthys Carpintis "Green Texas" 2" $1.50 each

The Black Belt is really nice quality and for $12 was a good deal, plus I think its a male but a little too soon to tell. And the Texas are really nice considering they are local store and the price was great.

Second stop was at The Wet Spot, there I got:
* 3 Vieja Synspilum 4" $13 each
* 1 Hericthys Carpintis "Escondido Green Texas" 1.5" $6

The Synspilum look amazing and can't wait to see how they look when they get older. The Escondido looks much better than the other Texas I got and is gonna look great as it gets older.

I will upload pics tomorrow once everyone settles in, plus I changed the gravel in the 75 from white to black so its a little cloudy.

So I wanna try both Texas and Syn hybrids but they all need a little growing to do. The Black Belt seems to be the alpha fish in the 75 gallon with all the Vieja and the Texas are all young so they are real shy except for the Escondido. Everyone is still stressed so I will get better pics tomorrow.

Good for crossbreeding but id rather have flowerhorns those all get huge too.
I like the blackbelt! The only one I could keep with other fish only had one good eye. He was a true pirate! Nice pick ups! They all look real nice good luck with those guys.
