Bizzy, looking more and more like Izzy (RIP!) every day. She's been upgraded to the 55 after beating the stuffing out of three smaller laps... she's the smallest now and it's good to see her having to work for her food.

Indy (Endli Endli), Wacko (P. P. Beutte), and Deuce (Endli Con)... but we all KNOW that Beutte might as well not even be in the pic... it's ALL about those endlis! MMMM Yummi!



I have no new bichirs to show off... my LFS had a pump catch fire and suffered a lot of smoke damage. They're closed for awhile to clean up and remodel, and all the fish have been shipped off to Houston. Soon as they open up, I plan on getting a Guinea Endli to compliment Indy.

I have a similar one somewhere of the lil bastard eating my convict. I put her in there when she was really small so she would be FOOD. They ignored her, she doubled in size, and she grew on me. Then Sweettooth ate her. He's a pain in the butt and he's growing and eating too fast for his own good. He can eat 5 fullsized market shrimp, every single day. He's the best hunter I have... posts up on a rock and waits, then snaps up feeders one by one. Rips food out of the other fish's mouths, takes shots at their faces when they won't let him have their food. He's already a handful at this size... what's gonna happen when he's Deuce's size?? And bigger?

Why so many dern channel cats though? I had one waaay back in the day, and it was a royal PITA. Aggro lil buggers. :irked: :)
 
I don't know why really.... got carried away when I went to the creek (and I can tell you that all my good tank nets aren't worth a damn anymore... torn to hell and bent). Maybe when my LFS gets set back up I will trade a few in. I know I can't afford to grow them ALL out - I have an older one (7''??) and he eats like a starving kid in Africa taken to McDonalds. But yea. I'll try to get some good pics later today.

But hey, in the catfish's defense, I'm trying to wean my bichirs onto sinking Massivore pellets, and sometimes they won't touch them. He cleans up nicely... every day.

My mom will see my collection for the first time EVER next Wednesday night. Well, she saw it several years back... When I had two tanks, and the most exotic species I had were albino senegal and ornate, and didn't own a fish over 5'' yet. This is a woman who thinks $10 a fish way too high, and anything over 4'' huge. She's gonna flip... esp. when she sees the big aros... and the tank in the bedroom.... and of course, I'll "forget" to feed them the day before she gets here so she can see a CRAZY feeding time :)
