I recently bought a pike cichlid, at the store it was labeled as a Wallace's pike cichlid. I couldn't find much info on that species. After a bunch of research I think I have a sveni (did I spell that right?). I tried to get a photo but the fish hides every time I bring the camera out. I'm going to try to describe it for an ID. If I am not clear on something or you need more info let me know. The fish is about five inches long, has an eye spot on the tail. The dorsal and tail fins are rimmed in red. It has a black stripe through the eye going all the way down the body (following the lateral line). The line on the body fades almost completely when the fish is calm. But the stripe on the eye so far is always visible, though faded at times. The body color is oliveish, the belly is white. I am going to keep trying to get a photo, hopefully in the next few day.

I managed to get a few photos, I know they aren't the best. In these photos the horizontal line across the body can not be seen.
I'm thinking it's C. sveni or C. lucius.

Thanks, for the links. I think it looks more like the sveni. It doesn't have the black spot behind the gills, and the horizontal black line is kinda jagged like the photo of the sveni. This is my first pike cichlid, I am really liking this fish.
