new pike need id

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's a saxatilis type. Very hard to distinguish between all the species. Point of origin will help with ID.

took like 20 pictures it wouldnt cooperate. but after searching the internet it is a saxatilis. kinda bummed they dont get as monsterous the rest of the pikes.

Saxatilis can be misleading as there are literally tons of fish labeled as such and subtle variations within Population can be considered separate species. Overall, care requirements are similar along with temperment. That being said, one may never truly know.

Expect the adult size to range from 8 to 12 inches for a male with 8 being more common. Again, the variance is tied to never truly knowing what species it is.
