New Pike

I bought this guy last week. It was sold as a Red Pike. I've yet to positive ID him/her. Can't tell if it has HITH or just wounds so I've been treating it for HITH. Other wise it is in very good condition. It already is eating pellets and market shrimp. Seems to be doing very well with Two O's and a Pumpkinseed SF.

red pike is common name for johanna but that looks more like a venezuela to me. Female?

The wounds look like battle scars. My new pike is the same way.

Looks good! I wouldn't worry about the battle scares to much. I am not sure about the Id I am not so hot with pikes unless it's obvious. Nice pick up any how.

Not Johanna, they don't have the Ocelli on the caudal.

about 30.00 for one of these at the lfs. listed as a red pike. size looks the same.. nice fish $ if you dont mind..

$40. I think there battle scars too because they seem to be healing nicely with Temp and salt.
