New pink tail chalceus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice top swimmer!

When kept singly mine have always been peaceful. I hear that large group have less inter species hostility but when I had a pair the big one ate the smaller one's tail in one day. I put him in a different tank and he healed up. I would like to try a dozen some day and see how it works out but there is no secondary market to speak of around here if it didn't.

Beautiful! Where did you get yours from? I have had one for 2 weeks who's abit nippy I want to try getting another 1 or 2 so they can keep aggression amongst themselves. Most say it wont work in such a small group but I have read that it has worked for some

Thanks, I got it in Fort Wayne IN. At pet warehouse. It's really the only one I can remember seeing around me. It's housed with a juvenile Flowerhorn & a juvenile Oscar. So far it's not showing signs of aggression at all. Fingers crossed it stays that way!!

So I bought 2 more and they're getting along famously, swimming around together. Abit of flaring up at each other but no nipping at all yet...how's yours getting along? I'm so glad I did mines much more active and entertaining now
