Just got it today from Shark Aquarium. Don't know what it is, but who cares, it is amazing. about 5" and these spots are tough to make out with the camera, but it seems to be its adult coloring and the spots are very defined and dark. It has a yellow belly and a large Caudal Fin

absolutely love this thing, so far very active. George, can you give me an I.D. on it yet or where it was collecting, anything would be very helpful.

It's a looker alright, nice pickup!

that is one unique fish! I haven't the foggiest idea what it is, but if I had to guess I'd say it was a pristobrycon. I would say that based on the hyaline fins, the spots. and shape of the head, shape of the jaw, and the similar eyes. Just a guess, but thats my guess.

could be a comp too...

what did he sell it to you as and how much?

I am pretty certain it is a p. striolatus

should develop a orange yellow belly

I believe he had the striolatus(sp.?) there and looked much different. It was a trade from other fish, it never had a price on it yet, just came in
