I am a beginner in plants so any advice is appreciated. Its a 46 bowfront with 45watts. I plan on going to 72 watts if I can get the lights at the right price. Yesterday I added several more plants and today I added the driftwood. The tank has only been up 3 weeks.

Here is pics of my 46 bowfront. I think I,m done buying plants now time to grow. Well may buy 1 more plant. lol

That's a nice looking tank, it's just so... clean haha. I'd go for some moss of a ground cover type plant to make things a little less defined. Maybe mix up the substrate a bit. I have a natural colored sand with a few small stones mixed into it in my planted tank for a more natural look. If I ever get around to it I'll post some pics.

Now the hard part...waiting for it to grow in.

You are going to want to add some more plants IMO.

Dont be in too big of a hurry to add more light. Oftentimes you will find that you dont need it. Wait to see how things go, maybe add some co2 and then consider adding more light if you still arent seeing the kind of growth you wanted.

M1ste2tea. I really like your youtube and the moss. How is your EBJD. I have one about the same age. He is going in the 46 this weekend or next. Just hope he does OK witrh the plants. I have heard that they may do OK just depends on the fish. I have been growing mine in a 25.

I like the looks of your tank. Good variety IMO. Maybe a silly question but what is the short grassy stuff? Micro sword?
