I just now realized 2 is the perfect amount to breed lol if I got lucky and got a male and female if I bred them would the baby’s be plat?
Yes but IDK if all of them or most of them. They cannot be bred in captivity by mimicking the natural ways. Also, some suppliers are smarter than others and will not send you a female.

Notice the difference of the head shapes. One with an almost downward protrusion, and the other much more rounded and wide head.

As for the post, I'm a huge fan of the platinum. I changed my mind on the hybrids and think they are ugly, but I still think the platinums are cool.
However, I have yet to see a 3.5/4ft big platinum red tail. Who on MFK has the biggest platinum redtail?!?
I’m pretty sure I have a male and female then because I noticed a difference in the heads right when they got in the tank. One is much wider and flatter while the other has a taller and shorter mouth. They look just like the 2 pics u sent. I’ll try to post clear pics of them in the morning showing theirs head respectively
It actually does look that way upon the pictures, but I wouldn't be so certain.
